How The Windscreen Attaches

Attachment:

The windscreen is designed to attach onto the driver and passenger seats.  Straps weave through slots in the windscreen, which then wrap around the headrests, or onto the seats themselves.  Most cars have seats with headrests that slide up-and-down upon seat rest head posts.  Straps wrap (vertically) around the head rests or (horizontally) around the seat rest head posts.

1) Wrapping around the head rests.

2) Wrapping around the head rest seat posts.

3) For seats with integrated headrests, the straps will wrap around the seat itself.

Common Questions:

For seats with adjustable headrests, what is the difference between horizontal and vertical attachment?  Which type should I use?
Functionally, there is no difference - both methods attach the windscreen firmly onto the seats with flexibility for seat movement.  All things being equal, we recommend the vertical attachment, since it creates a longer span for greater stability.

Are the straps adjustable?
Yes, the straps are fully adjustable, so you can set the right length to get a firm grip onto your seats.

Will I be able to place the driver and passenger seats at different positions and angles?
Yes, there, is enough play in the straps, such that it can accommodate different seat positions.  For instance, of a husband/wife customer, there is an eleven inch difference in their height and the windscreen fits across their particular seating positions.

Will I be able to fold one seat forward?
Yes, there is enough slack in the straps, such that one of the seats can be folded forward.  For instance, one customer has three boys, ages 7, 10, and 12.  All of those boys pile in-and-out of the backseat, with the windscreen remaining in place.

For car with integrated headrests, there is one method to attach:

Onto the base of the seat.  The straps horizontally aligned, to the middle of the seat.
