We are often asked...
1) Will this windscreen fit my car?
It should! Since you're the designer, you can specify the dimensions
to your unique car.
2) How does it attach?
Onto the seats. See Attachments
for full information.
3) Can you leave the windscreen in place, while raising and lowering the
top?
Yes, you can. Since you specify the height of the windscreen, it
should not be created so tall that it interferes with putting the top up.
4) How thick is the windscreen?
The material is 0.25 inches (6.4 mm) thick
5) What is your return policy, and warranty?
See our policies for details.
6) How fast can I drive with the windscreen in place?
You could drive up to 150 MPH, if you have the nerves and the engine for it.
7) Could this windscreen work for the
rear seat? I have kids who get beat-up when I drive with the
top-down.
We see no reason why a windscreen wouldn't be designed for the rear seat
as well.
8) Does the driver and passenger seats need to be in the same position, so
the windscreen aligns?
No, it does not. There is enough slack in the straps, such that it can
accommodate different seat positions. The front seat passengers could
be a difference of a foot in height, set the seat to each of their
comfortable positions, and the windscreen will still fit.
9) Can I still fold one seat forward, with the windscreen attached?
Can rear seat passengers still get in-and-out?
Yes, likewise, there is enough play in the straps to allow one seat to be
folded forward, to allow rear seat passenger access and egress.
10) Could the windscreen cause glare?
DropTop uses only glare resistant material, negating this issue.
11) What is lexan? Do I need it?
Lexan is a material about 20 times stronger than acrylic. If you don't
know what it is, then you don't need it.
13) Is the tint a film, or infused?
The tint is an infused material, which can not be scratched or rubbed off.
13) Could acrylic get yellow from sun exposure?
DropTop uses material guaranteed for 50 years not to yellow from sun discoloration.
